Attempting to use zxing library to detect qr codes and its rotation. As for now it is unknown if the library is able to find rotated qr codes and if detected return the rotation. After having read: http://groups.google.com/group/zxing/browse_thread/thread/ea911e890ea69ea5 The use of the zxing’s implementation to detect QR codes seems less promising.

installed alien version 8.86 from source and created deb
By thomas in alien, checkinstallconverted alien version 8.86 using alien by the command perl Makefile.pl make checkinstall -fstrans=no which installed alien and created a .deb file the deb file will be attached when I get WP to accept it

problems with checkinstall
By thomas in checkinstall, linuxusing check install to properly install from source When installing ImageMagick-6.7.5-7 checkinstall failed with an error related to “mkdir -p” It seems that this error disappeared when running checkinstall with -fstrans=no so after calling ./configure and make I called sudo checkinstall -fstrans=no and everything seem to be correct
